She has been completely restored and fully optimised for competitive racing, evidenced by her outstanding race results including twice overall winner of the Sydney to Gold Coast Yacht Race, first in ORCi in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, as well as numerous divisional wins.

Dry sailed since restoration, 'Ázzurro' presents in excellent ready to race condition with all the latest racing technology in carbon, electronics and a full Doyle Sails wardrobe. 'Ázzurro' has an enviable racing pedigree having first made her mark in the Ocean Racing Club of Victoria, known as 'Shenandoah II' winning hundreds of races under the IOR, IMS, IRC, ORCI and AMS handicap systems. When she was spotted in 2014 by Mr Kearns, he knew this boat was meant to be famous.
